Designing Your Master Copy

Experience In Design

The first requirement of your project will be the designing and origination of your master copy from which the silicon resin moulds required for production will be taken. Our resin casting company in the UK are very experienced, particularly in the area of giftware design, and using both in-house skills and out-sourced sculpture artists, we can help you during this part of the process.

How can we help?

Over the last 40 years, History Craft has been involved in the creation of resin artwork. Our knowledge and experience built up over the years of custom casting in resin means that we can assist you in the design of your product. If we do not have the necessary in-house skills, we have a pool of skilled sculpture artists (particularly bronze sculpture artists) and accomplished resin artists whose services can be called upon. We also have a laser engraving machine, which can be used to create the resin artwork.

Going it alone?

If you do not wish to use our services for this area, it is still a good idea to discuss your project with us at this stage. As resin casting manufacturers, we can offer advice on the best way to design your master to help avoid potential pitfalls and make the production as smooth as possible. It will also assist us in producing the resin mouldings in the most economical manner.

Reproduction or Restoration?

If your resin sculpture project involves reproducing either decorative mouldings or architectural mouldings, in certain circumstances, we may be able to take a mould from the subject “in-situ”. This mould can then be used to make a hard copy, which can be used to make further production resin mouldings.
